Metabolite of Nordazepam.
Why may this be prescribed?
Used to treat anxiety disorders, type of muscle spasms, epilepsy, alcohol withdrawal symptoms, relax patients before an operations or other procedures.
Side Effects?
Sleepiness, Unsteadiness, Loss of co-ordination, Confusion.
WARNING:
Interacts with caffeine and grapefruit juice.

Single oral doses of 10 mg result in diazepam concentrations of 200-600µg/L at 0.5-2 hours.
Plasma concentrations of 300-400 µg/L are recommended for control of anxiety, and up to 600µg/L for control of seizures.

Detection time starts – 2-7 hours after taking.
